Nový Dvůr Abbey

A monastic community is formed around a group of monks in a specific place. Our Abbey was founded in 2002 by the French abbey Notre-Dame de Sept-Fons, on the ruins of Nový Dvůr farm, near the hamlet of Dobrá Voda in the municipality of Toužim in the diocese of Plzeň. In the monastery there is a church, a guesthouse, places for training young monks, workshops, a farm, an infirmary to care for the sick and dying and a cemetery. The life we live here is simple and unencumbered. Ties are forged with neighbours, just like any other family or social group.
