The monastery is a place of prayer and contemplation, of encounter with God. It is the sign of invisible and future realities, the reminder that human life has its term in God. The monks who live there strive to move towards this encounter. Sharing their lives for a few days is an opportunity to step back, turn towards God and grow in faith.
“Turning around, Jesus saw them following and asked, “What do you want?” They said, “Rabbi” (which means “Teacher”), “where are you staying?””
(Gospel of John 1:38)
